As a Royal Marine drill instructor I was on the parade ground
At the Commando Training School Royal Marines with my recruit 109 troop. (52 men ranging from 18-27).
The adjutant was on his horse.
After the horse was ridden by,
I asked my troop if anyone had a drivers license?
Three people responded in the affirmative.
I told one of them to drive the wheelbarrow behind the horse.
The other two carry the pitch forks!
Much to the amusement of the rest of the recruits.
Millitary rule number one,
Never volunteer for anything.
