After the storm...
Nigel W.D. Mumford+
Awoken by the dog
I went outside to join him.
The morning chorus was is in full voice.
One bird repeating his joy over and over again.
Crows in the distance chatting to each other.
A bumble bee flying from one flower to another
Gathering her pollen.
Choosing some flowers,
Inspecting others.
A trio of humming birds fly by so fast
Two fly off
One, went to the wrong indent of our house
Looking for the hanging feeder
That wasn't there.
He flew off...
The wind now calm
The sky now blue
The anger of the storm past
Evidence left on the ground
More cleaning up to do
Grateful that the storms gift
Is not too bad.
I look up and begin my morning prayer.
Come back humming bird, try the other indent...
Heaven and earth sing.
Now the dawn chorus is taken over by the
Song of the chainsaw...
The storm is past.
All is well.
